Pagan Evocation Fantasy Show is still alive!

We thought the Pagan Evocation Fantasy Show’s grid-wide tour was sold out, but it wasn’t.
We’ve taken it around to lots of different sims and festivals, but a lot of people haven’t seen it yet.
So, why stop running it?
For this reason, with an experimental lineup, the Pagan Evocation Fantasy show will see the light once again!

It’s the summer solstice. One of the most important holidays for the world and pagan culture. The sun reaches its point of maximum declination. The summer solstice has always been an occasion for celebrations in history, such as the Litha in neo-paganism or as in the areas of Celtic-Germanic culture the “Midsummer Sun Festival”. In the late Roman Empire, referring precisely to the winter solstice, people spoke of Sol Invictus (unconquered Sun) to celebrate the day in which the Sun stopped setting on the horizon.
In the pagan world, it was the most important time of the year. The moment in which the land began to yield its harvest, to be preserved and jealously guarded to survive the following winter.
What better occasion than the Solstice, therefore, to re-propose the Pagan Evocation Fantasy Show, in its Enanched Version? It is not just a dance show: in the two acts that compose it, you will take a journey through pagan cultures, those in which man had not yet lost direct contact with nature, and still felt he was part of it. Let’s talk about that sense of belonging that we have now lost in modern society. The journey starts from the Swiss Alps, through the myth of the Goddess of Horses, and then crosses other cultures: Celtic, Nordic, Germanic, and so on up to the Greek one.

Credevamo che la tournee grid-wide del Pagan Evocation Fantasy Show fosse esaurita, e invece no.
L’abbiamo portato in giro in tante sim e festival diversi, ma tanta gente non l’ha ancora visto.
Quindi, perchè smettere di eseguirlo?
Per questo motivo, con una formazione sperimentale, il Pagan Evocation Fantasy show vedrà la luce ancora una volta!

E’ il solstizio d’estate. Una delle feste più importanti per il mondo e la cultura pagana. Il sole raggiunge il punto di declinazione massima. Il solstizio d’estate, è sempre stato nella storia occasione di feste, come i Litha nel neopaganesimo o come nelle zone di cultura celtico-germanica la “Festa del sole di mezza estate”. Nel tardo Impero romano, proprio riferendosi al solstizio d’inverno, si parlava di Sol Invictus (Sole invitto) per celebrare il giorno in cui il Sole smetteva di calare sull’orizzonte.
Nel mondo pagano, era il momento più importante dell’anno. Il momento in cui la terra iniziava a dare il suo raccolto, da conservare e custodire gelosamente per sopravvivere all’inverno successivo.
Quale migliore occasione del Solstizio, quindi, per riproporre il Pagan Evocation Fantasy Show, nella sua Enanched Version? Non è solo uno spettacolo di danza: nei due atti che lo compongono, farete un viaggio attraverso le culture pagane, quelle in cui l’uomo non aveva ancora perso il contatto diretto con la natura, e sentiva ancora di farne parte. Parliamo di quel senso di appartenenza che nella società moderna abbiamo ormai perso. Il viaggio parte dalle Alpi svizzere, attraverso il mito della Dea dei Cavalli, per poi attraversare altre culture: celtica, nordica, germanica, e così via fino a quella greca.
